Training pay for rookies!

I’m starting a new career in car sales and they finally sent me my on boarding paperwork to sign. During the training process, they’re gonna pay me $2400 a month and the commission is $100 per vehicle sold. That sounds unfair. I can’t live off $600 a week pre tax. $100 a car sounds insanely low?

Is this standard for new employees of the industry?
