I’ve had psoriasis for as long as I can remember. It’s always been along my hairline at the base of my neck, and now it’s spreading to my elbows and my knuckles. It never bothered me that much, and I always tried to just push through it. Just wear my hair down, don’t wear black, wear long sleeves in the summer. It’s fine! (it’s not fine)
Then one day I wake up and my eyelids look THIS (first picture + second picture, third picture is my normal) and my elbows and hands have both exploded with scales and itchiness.
Emergency derm appointment, next thing I know I’m given tubes and tubes of Zoryve, a Skyrizi prescription, and a rheumatologist referral for possible psoriatic arthritis.
The Zoryve worked nearly instantly, and two weeks later my eyes are almost back to normal (the eyes look more like eczema, but I can’t deal with the possibility of having both of eczema AND psoriasis right now).
I took my first dose of Skyrizi on 4/27, and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I hope my skin starts clearing soon… I’m so tired of this.
