Does anyone else feel like only certain people “see” them?
I feel like some people interact with me, and look past my autism, and still accept me for who I am, and like me. These people “see” me and I feel very accepted by them. They are looking past my autism.
Other people, hate me and can’t stand me, because all they see is the autism. All they see and notice is the autism, and it bothers them and they complain about it. These people don’t “see” me.
It’s very black and white for me, and sometimes I have to gauge these types of people before I even open my mouth. It’s like people are either cool with me and look past the autism, and others just can’t stand it.
It’s very annoying because it lowers my social circle, and my options with people. But it really is this black and white.
