Hey guys, I need some advice. I’m on my second baby, and she’s 1 she’s a lot more challenging than my first. I know every baby is different, and I’m still trying to figure things out, especially how to get things done since I’m on disability until August/September and have chores and a checklist around the house.
My baby doesn’t like changing time clothes or diapers and it always ends in a tantrum. She tries to deadweight and slam herself back. She also won’t let me do her hair unless there are snacks involved. Without snacks, it’s not possible because she’ll cry, thrash around, and slam herself onto whatever she can. I’ve tried toys and her favorite shows, but they don’t work. She has curly hair, so if I don’t at least brush it, it gets tangled.
Snacks and shows are starting to not be enough. She used to let me do things while she had snacks, but that’s no longer the case. I have to wear her, and even then she’ll only tolerate it for about 15 minutes.
I really need some advice because I need to be able to get things done. One thing I personally feel has set us back is that my husband doesn’t support her being independent. She doesn’t even sleep in a crib we put it away because he doesn’t want her sleeping in it. She can’t even take a nap without someone next to her because she looks for someone.
