It turns out I found the exact same photo: same angles, same reflections, same shadows (literally the same digital file). This means it was never taken by him. Why would he do something like that?
When I told him about it, expecting him to say, "Yes, I downloaded it from the internet," his reaction was completely different. He denied everything and got indignant. He got angry with me and is now using his anger to avoid giving me a logical explanation. I decided to give him space because he hasn’t even tried to clarify or talk about it, he’s just staying silent.
What hurts me is not the photo itself (I know it’s from the internet), but that he would rather hold on to a blatant lie and get angry with me than tell me the truth about something so small and then remain silent.
