Hey y'all,

So I live on the Eastside, and for the past few weeks there has been an alarmingly skinny but very sweet and affectionate cat around my building. He showed up around the time some new neighbors moved in, and they had made passive comments about having a cat, so I assumed he belonged to them. However, his condition was so bad that I figured if they were just going to let him roam outside, I’d at least put out some extra food.

This little guy is the sweetest. He’s super affectionate, and the other day he was playing with a couple of the neighbors’ kids. He’s slowly been gaining weight. Anyway, I figured these people must just be neglectful owners and wasn’t sure what to do.

However, they moved out suddenly without notice to the landlord, and the cat is still here.

He is far too sweet to be a street cat and could definitely use a bath and a foster parent. I’d be surprised if he or she is over a year old. I would take him myself, but I have a cat that absolutely would not be okay with that at all.

Does anyone have any ideas or potentially know of a good home for him?

He's better off in my backyard munching on what I give him than a kill shelter in my opinion.
