I had a special ed teacher tell me today that they wanted me to work on R because they couldn’t make “any” progress in reading. I was seeing her targeting her lateral lisp which was significantly impacting intelligibility. She said reading trumps intelligibility. She then also questioned the number of minutes I was seeing the child. This was in front of the parent in an IEP meeting. I just feel undermined and disrespected. What should I do?
