Both movies are an overbloated mess that try to shove in way too many hype moments and references, and things just randomly happen out of nowhere.

especially after their work on films like the Spider-Verse movies and The Mitchells Vs The Machines, I think that Sony Pictures Animation would've given the Mario Movies better writing and more character development and take inspiration from the best elements of what made the Mario and Luigi RPG Games so good in terms of storytelling

My favorite Star Wars projects from the Disney era are The Last Jedi, Rebels, Rogue One, and Andor for what they offer to the Star Wars universe and mythos.

I actually may be one of the few people who does prefer Rebels over The Clone Wars.
