My 4 yo son is potty trained (except for nighttime- still in pull ups). This past two weeks there’s been at least 3-4 instances where he has intentionally peed on the rug, floor, or furniture. This seems to be in an act of defiance- usually when I’m solo parenting and my attention is more focused on my 17 mo old daughter. I’ve tried asking him

what is going on that’s making him do this when he knows that pee goes in the potty. He has no issues at preschool or at daycare.

I am guessing this is a bid for attention- but I’m not sure how to nip it in the bud. I make him clean it up (which is a battle), and I try hard to carve out 1-1 time while his sister is sleeping, but looking for any advice about how to curb this behavior…
