What to try before seeing a specialist?

I have seen a dietitian before, but stopped going as I didn't find her helpful, just pushing expensive apps and supplements on me. I have now had chronic constipation going on 4 years, and am thinking about getting another referral to see someone else. However, I don't want to waste money on an initial appointment where they tell me things I already know.

I am increasing my water intake and movement, as well as trying the low fodmap diet again (tried before but wasn't as strict as I should've been), so trying it properly this time, to rule out any potential food sensitivities.

Is there anything else worth trying before booking an appointment?

Thanks

I’ve tried the recommended bliss kiss hydration treatment a few times. If you don’t know, it’s basically slathering the nails and hands with oil and/or hand cream and wear nitrile (or similar) gloves.

Previously I’ve worn cotton gloves over oil/hand cream but I felt like the gloves soaked up half of the cream, so thought I’d give this a shot.

I’m wondering how on earth people don’t sweat with this on! The treatment recommends removing the gloves, wiping hands, and reapplying if you sweat in the gloves. I don’t know if maybe I just sweat more than most, I got uncomfortable after 35ish min and removed them to find sweaty, wrinkly hands underneath.

Is there something I’m missing? Any suggestions? Or maybe I just sweat too much?

Thanks x

Excuse the bad pic but I hope you can see what I’m talking about. Took my polish off this morning and gave in and peeled a little bit of lifting 😔😔 it’s split in a diagonal sort of fashion from the front to the back as opposed to peeling off the top.

Is there a way I can immediately support this nail? As I didn’t completely peel it apart, can I paint over it and move on? Paint in between the layers to stick them together? I know long term oiling will improve the strength of the nail, but want to help for the break now.

I have a sally hansen nail strengthen polish and an Essie base coat as possible products for use? Along with colours and tops ofc.

No products worn in the pic

I’ve been treating this wart for a few months now, done a bit more reading in the hopes of getting this over with soon. Curious about showers, there’s a lot of advice suggesting SA on damp skin after a soak/shower works well as it can penetrate the skin better, but advice also notes that you should keep the skin dry to prevent further growth. So what advice is better? And if I should get it damp for the SA, how do I dry it before covering it up?

Hope this makes sense. Thanhs, and good luck to you all 🫡🫡
