I've read a lot of the bizarre processing symptoms some of you talk about after sessions. I don't currently do EMDR but talk therapy with a bit of Gestalt.
Amongst other things, I've had this head tension that varies in intensity and location - though mostly on the left and back of my head. There are some days where it's less intense, and I'm more present and clear headed than ever.
I've had an MRI ruling out a tumour (Dr going to further investigate a small pineal cyst that should in theory be asymptomatic). Frustratingly, spiritual/esoteric explanations I've seen most closely describe some of the things I've experienced, but for my sanity want to avoid that for now. My therapist's background is partly transpersonal influenced and so is quite cryptic about this.
Just wondering if anyone is knowledgeable about whether some of the symptoms experienced post-EMDR would occur with trauma processing from talk therapies as well.
