What’s going on with Percival?
5 gallon heated (80 degrees) tank
Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates around 5 (been cycled forever)
Weekly 20% water changes with prime as conditioner matching temp
Live Plants/resting places/floating log/almond leaves
Feed Fluval Bug Bites betta formula daily (3-8 pellets depending on size) as well as frozen mysis shrimp and blood worms(not often)
He’s approx 1 1/2 years old, seems to be having maybe swim bladder problems as he is ‘sinking’ and laying a lot more than normal. I cut back on his food and (2 or 3 bug bites a day) and continue normal water changes/testing with nothing obvious wrong. His mouth looks super weird too all the sudden? Always open? The flow has a sponge over it to make it calm but the water is moving. Should I do anything else? He does get excited sometimes still to see me but very lethargic.
