Website design

Minimal, calm

Update on yesterday’s website feedback request — still stuck on the design direction

Yesterday I asked for feedback on the meditation/philosophy website I’ve been building, and I actually fixed a lot of the things people pointed out (spacing, typography, readability, layout etc)

But now I’m stuck again.

Some of the buttons and sidebars still don’t work the way I want, and I’m struggling with the overall visual direction. The person I’m building this for wants themes inspired by earth, fire, and water elements, but I’m trying to keep the website minimal and modern at the same time.

Right now it feels like I’m caught between:

  • spiritual / elemental aesthetics
  • modern minimal design
  • calm readable atmosphere

And I can’t figure out how to balance those without making it feel outdated or overly “fantasy-like.”

Does anyone have ideas, examples, inspiration, or UI suggestions for combining elemental themes with a clean modern design language?

Would genuinely appreciate insight from people into UI/UX, minimalism, or atmospheric website design.

[a website] I’m building a meditation website and need design feedback

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a new website focused on meditation, enlightenment, philosophy, and deeper long-form reading. The content side is coming together, but I’m honestly stuck on the design/UI side of things.

Right now the website feels… outdated. Almost like something made in 2020, and I can’t figure out how to modernize it without losing the calm/minimal atmosphere I want.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback from people who are into web design, UX, typography, or modern minimalist websites. Things like:

  • first impression
  • layout
  • fonts
  • spacing
  • colors
  • readability
  • what feels outdated
  • what feels confusing
  • what would make it feel more premium/modern

I’m especially trying to balance:

  • meditation/spiritual aesthetic
  • modern clean design
  • good readability for long articles

If anyone is willing to take a quick look and give insight, I’d seriously appreciate it. I’ve been staring at it too long and can’t see it objectively anymore.

Thanks a lot 🙏

Need honest feedback on my meditation/philosophy website design

I’ve been building a meditation/philosophy website focused on long-form reading, awareness, and calm atmosphere.

The problem is: I’ve stared at it for so long that I can’t tell anymore whether it feels modern and minimal — or outdated and empty.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback on:

  • typography
  • spacing
  • readability
  • mobile feel
  • visual atmosphere
  • what feels outdated
  • what feels calming vs distracting

The niche is meditation/philosophy, so the “feeling” of the website matters a lot.

Need honest feedback on my meditation/philosophy website design (Web Designer)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a new website focused on meditation, enlightenment, philosophy, and long-form reading. The content is starting to come together, but I’m completely stuck on the design side of things.

Right now the site feels outdated to me — almost like a website made in 2020 — and I’m struggling to modernize it while still keeping the calm/minimal atmosphere I want.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback from anyone into web design, UI/UX, typography, or minimalist websites. I’m looking for insight on things like:

  • first impression
  • layout and structure
  • fonts and spacing
  • readability
  • colors/theme
  • what feels outdated
  • what feels modern
  • what makes the site feel amateur vs premium

I’m trying to balance:

  • meditation/spiritual atmosphere
  • clean modern design
  • comfortable long-form reading

If you’re willing to take a quick look and share your thoughts, I’d seriously appreciate it. I’ve been staring at it for too long and need outside perspective.
