Am I the only one bothered by the way George and Angie acted during the climax of Girls night out

In the episode Angie has ex-gang member Marisol stay with the family after she moves out of her abusive ex junior's house but she and George came to regret the decision when they found out Marisol took Carmen to a club without their permission. I can understand they were worried about their daughter because they found out she was at a club and it was 1:00 in the morning not to mention they learned junior was at the club but the way they reacted to the situation always rubbed me the wrong way. At first neither of them bought marisol's reasons for doing what she did as wanting to help Carmen and when Carmen told her dad Marisol said she needed to be more like her George said something along the lines of "yeah that's a good role model Carmen a homeless trollop with an abusive boyfriend." "You know I think they have their own window at the unemployment office". It's no secret George disliked Marisol from day one but to make jabs about her situation especially the homeless part I think could be an equivalent of "slut shaming" which his own daughter was a victim of. Also even though she was mad Marisol put her daughter in danger the way Angie worded it when confronting her made her sound self-centered to me as if what Marisol did was a personal betrayal to her not to mention she made jabs about marisol's relationship with junior even though that's a touchy subject. Plus even if you don't agree with the points I make I feel they weren't being fair to Carmen. At first they forced her to share her room with Marisol then they ground her indefinitely even though Angie was the one who brought her in the house in the first place I mean sure she knew better than to go to a club but she was desperate not to let the cycle repeat itself at her new school and at least they know she wasn't drinking or anything. I feel it's no wonder Carmen became rebellious in later seasons. Although considering the next episode showed Carmen going to her new school with no mention of her being grounded it's possible her parents just needed time to cool off and they eventually reduced her punishment. Maybe I'm taking this a little too personally because Marisol was one of my favourite characters and I wished she had stayed on the show so therefore I'm downplaying the reality of the situation.

How did Arthur react to his sister's punishment in Go to your room d.w.

I was curious how Arthur felt about d.w. threatening to pinch kate and being sent to her as a result. I always imagined he felt she deserved it and enjoys it when she gets in trouble considering their relationship but my money's on he didn't really care that much. I mean he reacted with shock when she screamed about Kate popping off her doll's head, but he didn't do more about the situation like I feel a good brother should, and was just concerned about Jane blocking the TV with her hips. He also wasn't present much in this episode because it was about dw but he just spent the majority watching TV and there was also one point where he noticed pal barking (because he noticed d.w. out of her room and was happy to see her)and asked if he smelled something weird. I know what people say about DW but I feel that Arthur mainly in the earlier seasons was just as mean to her as she was to him particularly in the picky eater episode when he and Francine used Kate in one of their attempts to get DW to like spinach. As I've always said not only was he trying to get DW till like something he didn't like but he was bringing Kate to their sibling rivalry as I'm positive what he and Francine did caused DW's resentment of Kate who despite her occasionally jealousy tries to be a good sister to.

What do you think Arthur was writing about at the beginning of the episode Matchmaker Matchbreaker

During the opening scene for Matchmaker Matchbreaker Arthur was shown writing in a diary then when Francine comes by and asks what he's writing he tells her it's nothing much but some thoughts then when she asked if she could see he gets secretive and tells her it's private causing her to get angry and think it's about her. Then as Muffy joins the conversation Arthur confirms it's not about Francine then when Muffy wonders if he's writing about her hair they both get curious and try to get a look but Arthur yells "No" and climbs a tree to get away from them much to their amusement. Then once he's in the tree and they leave he tells the audience "don't you hate it when people try to stick their noses into your business" adding "some things are just private" in a frustrated tone then when buster appears in the tree he too asks what Arthur's writing and asked he can see much to his exasperation. I know this just illustrates the episode's theme of Muffy and Francine being meddlesome in their respective siblings business but does anyone know what Arthur could've been writing about. All he confirmed was that it wasn't about Francine and not something mean but he really didn't want anyone to see what he was writing. I'm just as curious as his friends are since I wonder what type of secrets Arthur who has not much of a personality except for being a typical "everyday man" must have.

I re-watched Francine's goes to war and during the argument between Arthur and Francine when she tries to put all of his worst moments and put them together to make him look bad like he did to her beforehand she brings up the time he cheated at that "No guessing" game and when he stole d.w.'s snowball(which wasn't true). I just noticed Francine could have but didn't bring up the time he hit d.w. which all of his friends called him out for. At first I thought this probably means either the episode Arthur's big hit became a discontinuity in the fandom or Francine thought about it more and decided Arthur was right to punch d.w. for breaking his plane. Since the episode all will be revealed mentioned the broken plane I'm guessing the latter. One of the things people complain about regarding the episode Arthur's Big Hit is that none of his friends could see his side of the conflict and they all agreed he was wrong for hitting DW despite all of them at least having some type of negative interaction with her in the past. Francine even once said DW would be "one sorry little tattletale" if she heard one blow of her whistle at the ratburn rally in DW blows the whistle which I'm pretty sure implies bodily harm so her chiding Arthur came off as hypocritical. If what I say is true I guess it can provide comfort to fans who dislike the episode for that reason that at least one of his friends saw his side of things. No of course it also probably means Francine forgot about that moment but I find it hard to believe someone would forget about something like that.

As Ernie and an unnamed factory worker escort Marisol's abusive ex junior to the door and he tells Marisol he "loves" her Benny makes a comment along the lines of "Young love" "young angry violent love" "takes me back". Does anyone know what Benny meant by that I know she had her fair share of romances in the past including George's father Manny but I never imagined her relationship with Manny being classified as abusive even though he left her and George. Was she talking about another specific romance I don't remember?
