Hi everyone, I’m in a major fix regarding my document verification for PG admissions and I’m spiraling a bit.
The Background:
My batch was officially 2021–2024, but because of COVID, everything was pushed back. I actually started classes in Feb 2022 and gave my final exams in January 2025. After that, I finished my mandatory 6-month internship.
The Problem:
The Provisional Degree: It says I passed in 2024 (the university just put the original session end date).
The Marksheets: I had to get a name correction done, so my marksheets were finally issued/printed in 2026 (but they Have The Exam dates like 2023 24 and 2025)
The Gap: My exams were actually in 2025, but the Provisional degree says 2024, and the marksheets were printed in 2026. I still don't have my original degree.
The Concern:
I am Opting for DU and I’m terrified the verification officer will see a '2024' passing date on a degree and a '2026' date on a marksheet and think they are fake or invalid.
Has anyone else from a 'COVID batch' dealt with this? Should I get a formal 'Session Clarification' letter from my university, or will the verification officers understand the delay? Any advice on how to handle this would be a lifesaver.
Thanks!"
