1st Obedience Class
Here’s the post — ready to copy, you pick the pics:
Day one. Class one. Bark to Basics at Waverly Animal Wellness Center in Lansing.
Benny walked in at 13 weeks old, took one look at a room full of barking dogs and strangers, and decided none of it was worth his attention. Locked onto his handler. Held his focus sit. Ignored every distraction the room had to offer — other dogs, new people, new smells, the whole circus.
Then, just to make sure we knew he was paying attention, he threw in a shake. Left paw. Right paw. Done.
This is the official start of the IAADP-tracked training clock for service dog certification — 120 hours minimum over 6+ months. Foundation phase. The work that makes everything else possible.
