Hey everyone, I’m really stuck between two options and would appreciate any honest opinions 🙏

My options:

Duke Kunshan University (DKU) - Molecular Bioscience w a track in genetics and i got 60% scholarship, so I’d pay around $37k/year.

While in University of Glasgow, my major is Genetics and there is no scholarship, so around £44–48k/year

In brief, I’m an international student and I’m pretty sure I want to pursue a Master’s degree in the future in the US after undergrad

Academically, I’m interested in biological science, possibly research-oriented. And I also really care about having a vibrant student life, not just studying 24/7

Long-term, I want strong opportunities (research, internships, grad school placement)

What I’m thinking so far:

DKU is way cheaper for me and has a US connection, but it’s newer and smaller. Glasgow feels more “established” and like a classic university experience, but it’s significantly more expensive. So i’m not really sure how each will impact my chances for US grad school

Main questions:

- Which option would better position me for grad school in the US?

-Is DKU’s connection to Duke actually helpful in practice?

-How big of a difference is student life between the two?

-Is Glasgow worth the extra cost?

Any advice, especially from people in bio/genetics or who studied at either place, would mean a lot 🙏
