Hi all, I did some searching on this thread as it’s been discussed a bit, but curious if anyone has more recent experience that would be helpful. I have been on 50 MCG Synthroid (tried off brand for a second and didn’t do well) for about 4 years and it’s been fine for the most part. Some flares here and there but no crazy symptoms. My new endo went on a whole tirade about how I was medicated as if I was “a 70 year old woman, not a 35” and put me on 60 mg armour thyroid. It’s been a month and the only positive is a little more energy in the am, but otherwise my hair is hardcore thinning and my anxiety is so bad, I am having breath based anxiety where I feel like I’m suffocating (oxygen levels are fine). My t3 was 109 TSH 2.05 before I started armour. Anyone else experience this? I asked for labs today but he claimed I’d be much better in 3 months, but don’t think I have another 2 months in me to ride it out. Anyone have similar experiences? Is 50 MCG really underdosed?
