I've been interested in fragrances for quite a while but I always felt too overwhelmed to find out what I like. Until last year. I ordered a bunch of testers and went to a perfume store to try out even more.
And then I found it.
YSL Mon Paris. I fell in love with that scent. All others that I've tried out pale in comparison to me. I was so excited to buy it and I have been wearing it ever since. Sometimes, I considered trying out more scents and buying a different perfume for variety, but I realised that I don't want to. I struggle with decision paralysis caused by choice overload, so I love that I have my signature scent that I'm always wearing, no matter what.
I think social Media has convinced many people that they should care far more about something than what is actually good for them. Sure, some people really enjoy collecting fragrances, but I think many are also struggling with overconsumption.
Disclaimer: title is not entirely accurate, I also own a dupe of YSL Mon Paris, called She is Mine by La Rive.
