AITA... my future MIL drives me nuts
AITA... so a bit of context...I'm 46F... and engaged to my best friend 47M. we've know each other 40 years. (our mom's used to be friends.) His mom (my future MIL), as I said, drives me nuts... A year ago my finances step dad passed away. My fiance was staying with them to help his mom take care of him. Shortly after that my fiance lost part of his leg (from mid calf down, hes diabetic) so hes dependant on her till he has disability or is cleared to work... ( they live about 3 1/2 hours away from me) My MIL was making him clean and make dinner 2 days after he got out of the hospital. MiL got a small settlement and survivor benefits (as well as her own SSI) a few months ago she began to fall for one of those scammers claiming to be a celebrity (ill just call him KR) suposedly madly in love with her and hes claiming to need her to send him money so he doesn't lose his house because hes in the hospital. MIL has sent him damn near her entire check for the last 5 months. All their utilities are now off and they lost their stove due to non payment. MIL refuses to listen and insists that KR really is who he says he is and really does love her and she's going to go stay with him. KR has has even sent her AI photos of the real KR in a hospital bed. MIL. is insistent where ever fiance goes she goes no acceptions. And hes afraid shes gone mental and be able to takecare of her self So when he came to stay with me (temporarily) because I broke my ankle she insisted on coming with (including bringing her dog) all I asked was that they keep the noise down and that she take care of the dog so its not going to the bathroom in my house... (-.-) well heres the issue, she doesn't... she'll get upset when im cleaning (or doing anything)she'll ask if n I want help and I always say no. If she really wants to help she can take her dog out and clean up after him. Im 3 1/2 weeks post Op after having my broken ankle fixed... my fiance slipped and fell,(because he didnt see a spot where the dog peed) right on his stub and its both to sore and swollen to wear his prosthetic. So here i am, broken ankle trying to clean up after her dog my self... my house smells horrible because she only takes him out twice a day. She is also one of those people who has no volume control, she yells constantly, its her normal tone.. my fiance trys to help but because he bruised that area badly. hes struggling trying to help while using a walker. My house smells horrible. Ive nearly fallen multiple times... trying to clean up after the dog. There's no way I can do this full time its nerve wreking.
So im asking AITA for being pissed about the situation,wanting him to move in with me with wrecking. And for wanting him to myself.
