Hi! I’m a first time mom. My baby girl is about to be 5 1/2 months old. I’ve recently transitioned her into sleeping in her crib during the day for her naps. We’ve co-slept since she was born. She sleeps in the crib during the day while I’m at work or I’m home but sleeps with me at night. I never really had her sleeping in her crib at first because my mom brain and anxiety kept worrying about little things such as what if she stopped breathing and I didn’t know or if she cried or needed me and I didn’t hear her (especially at night), thus why we co-sleep, puts my mind at ease. Recently I’ve noticed the bed has become a little small for us (I have a queen), not because of her size but because of the way she sleeps (which is diagonally). I’ve been going back and forth with myself about whether or not to just let her sleep in her crib from now on or to just continue what I’m doing now and then once I’m ready, I’ll slowly start transitioning her to fully sleep in her crib. One of the reasons why I haven’t just transitioned her fully into the crib is she’s teething (extremely hard) and has been waking up more often needing the extra comfort and has been nursing a few times throughout the night. Help a mama out!
