So i dont remember entirely but iirc Resonant Freeman was trapped in Xen during the Resonance Cascade, and was trapped for 20 years. And Combine Freeman escaped G-Mans grasp and joined the combine. The game ended with you fighting whichever freeman you didnt pick. It was awesome
