P&C agency set up ?
New independent insurance producer here working as a 1099 sole proprietor. I’m trying to figure out the best way to structure things early on without overcomplicating it.
For those who started solo:
- Did you operate under your personal name first or file a DBA right away?
- Did you get an EIN as a sole proprietor?
- When did you transition to an LLC, if at all?
- P&C network/ cluster/ aggregator recommenda?
Trying to build the right foundation from the start while keeping things simple. Any advice is appreciated.
