I made a Steam demo, need real player feedback !

Game Title: Cryoborn : convergence (demo)

Playable Link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4095450/Cryoborn__convergence/

Hi,

I'm a solo dev and i released my game's demo on Steam recently and I'm trying to understand what is going wrong.

Current stats are worrying:

  • Day 1: around 670 Steam page visits for only +9 wishlists
  • Day 2: around 410 visits
  • 53% of players quit before even reaching 10 minutes
  • Only 4% of players played more than 1 hour

The game is a survivor-like with roguelite elements, played in third person with exploration elements.

The core gameplay is inspired by survivor-likes, but there is also a global cold mechanic:

  • the cold slowly spreads across the entire map
  • staying too long can kill the player
  • exploration and movement are important parts of survival

I’m not looking for compliments. I want honest feedback, either on the Steam Page, or the gameplay itself.

If possible, I would really appreciate people trying the game and telling me exactly:

  • when do you lost interest ?
  • what felt frustrating or boring ?
  • what looked cheap/confusing ?
  • what made you stop playing ?

Brutal honesty is welcome. I’m trying to understand what is actually wrong.

Thanks !
