I use marketplace a lot. Tried to list something just now and it asked for ID!

Why??? Why do this - it’s asking for photo ID and I don’t want to take a pic of my ID and give it to them.

I was ready to quit - stressful horrible environment. Stayed the course thanks to some sage advice about holding on. Now I am so grateful as COL would have sunk us.

It’s still stressful but my priorities are more survival based now due to the economic pressures we are all under.

I’ve had a change in office too - slightly different job but same corporation. That helped but OMG I am so grateful I kept my job!

It was less than $100 she asked for and I gave her. She works casually not married no kids and never bought a unit when she could because she wanted to live in the city. Now she’s priced out of everywhere - even rentals. Anyway she likes to keep her high interest account untouched and asked me to tide her over two weeks ago until lay day on 29th.

I am married and we both work. We have a house we bought and three kids. We are not rich but we are fine, mainly because we bought a house years ago in a suburb we could afford.

Now the 29th has come and gone and this friend hasn’t contacted me to ask for details to pay me back. She has previously let others pay for things for her, particularly when she assumes they have money and can afford it.

It’s a small amount - do I let it slide? I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. She’s done that to ex partners and others previously. I kind of think she may have forgotten deliberately.

Have an elementary aged student with refusal. My district has guidelines saying shortened days (which she has been on) really should only extend for 10 weeks without medical certifications to support the arrangement. Her therapist said she hoped the student could increase to full days soon- essentially saying there wasn’t support for shorter days. Teacher is finding it hard as kid refuses work. Was against the extension of time to longer days ( a small increase). AP and I did it anyway and parent has agreed and held the line after some difficulties. I just feel like I’m the only one pushing to get this kid full days asap - as per policy. Like pushing the proverbial uphill and teachers focus on their difficulties in class rather than seeing the overall health and well-being piece.

QLD based and I am noticing that older people who are reaching the age of 60ish are using up their sick leave by taking 6 months plus at a time. They have chronic health conditions by that age and can easily get a Dr note. Does anyone else notice this?
