After about 20 hours of dealing with Xfinity last week, finally giving up on using a modem that is personally owned, and fully capable, and on the approved list and just using the Xfinity gateway in bridge mode I at least got the speeds I have been paying for since nobody was able to correctly provision that modem. This has not resolved the issues with not making secure https connection. The last two morning I have woken up and had to exit out of over 100 windows telling me connection were not secure, my Zoom desktop app continually pops up saying it can't make a secure connection until I finally just completely exit the app and I regularly am unable to make connection to major websites due to these errors. I don't have another 20 hours to deal with this. I need somebody at Xfinity with true technical expertise to address this without the failing AI generated workflow loops of customer service. I tried to DM in the thread from last week and it told me I must start a new post.

I have an Arris Surfboard S33v2. I've been paying for Gigabit internet, yet am stuck with 600Mbps down and 5Mbps up with significant issues with stalled uploads and missed secure connections for major websites (Google, etc). Customer service says this modem isn't compatible, even though it's on the list of compatible devices. They say they can't send a boot file to it and that I need to update the boot file myself. I got a CR ticket last week. No contact whatsoever. I called today and was told both that the modem is not compatible while also being told that if I go into the backend I can somehow get the boot file from Xfinity on my own and then it would be compatible. It's very frustrating as I cannot get my work files uploaded (It's been over a week and I've been able to upload about 150GB with it working 24/7 with a bunch of stalls. I really need my modem provisioned correctly so that I can get the service I've been paying for the last several months and efficiently run my business. This has cost me significantly in lost revenue for the wasted time with customer service who refuses to address the issue, gives me contradictory information and tries to punt this issue off to other companies.
