Is focusing on identity-based gender discrimination ever a distraction from class-based exploitation?

Technically woman's history month should be all year and everyday, so I was wondering if only having a month for women is really patronizing? All schools and institutions should consistently teach their students to think about women's oppression and women's lives and make it a daily practice no?
