How do i fix my interest problem?
I (F21) really want to date and try to find someone I can have a relationship with, but every time a guy shows a bit too much interest, I immediately get turned off by them. I get irritated and don’t really want to talk to them anymore. This is generally only over text/Snapchat and not in real life, where I’m actually interested in the person and what they’re doing.
The two other guys I’ve dated before were both “non-texters,” and most of the conversations we had happened in person. But at the same time, I felt like I wanted them to text me more and show more interest over the phone.
Why does this happen? Like, when a person is overly interested over text, I don’t like it, but when he isn’t, I go crazy wondering, “Why aren’t you interested in what I’m doing?” This makes it difficult to find someone. How can I fix this? Do I just have to tough it out?
