Hi,

Many people commented last week, had my vacation mostly set and then my wife asked if we could spend a few days at the beach. Given it's for her bday, she wins. We'll be with two teen boys, one out to see UCLA. They aren't interested in Universal.

Arrive Sat early afternoon, rent car and drive to Laguna Beach

Sunday - Crystal Cove

Monday - Laguna / Heisler Park / walk around town

Tuesday - early check out, drive to WeHo, explore. Could do Getty but probably too much? Thinking better to explore, taco snack, maybe go somewhere for sunset view?

Wednesday - AM explore Melrose / Fairfax, lunch, split up. Two people go to a 245 UCLA tour, 2 go to the car museum

Thursday - AM Warner tour, relax rest of day, Rooftop dinner or Dodgers vs Padres

Friday - Farmers Market / Grove / Academy Museum

Sat - Fly Home

Thoughts?

I’m taking my wife and two sons to LA for a week at the end of June / early July.  We are coming for a UCLA campus tour, and to celebrate my wife’s birthday.  My kids have never been to LA before.  They are both teens.

Love any thoughts on our itinerary.  Thinking 5 nights WeHo + 2 nights at the beach (maybe Manhattan Beach, but open to suggestions)

Saturday, June 27, arrive light afternoon, drive to hotel

Sunday, June 28 — Hollywood (Walk of fame, Dolby, etc.) + Paramount studio tour

Monday, June 29 — UCLA + Getty (tour in AM, Getty after lunch)

Tuesday, June 30 — Warner Bros + Griffith (tour in am, lunch, observatory)

Wednesday July 1 — The Grove / Farmers Market + Film Museums (Academy Museum, and if energy, Peterson)

Thursday, July 2— Check out, drive to beach, spend afternoon in sun

Friday, July 3rd, Day trip to Venice Beach, maybe Santa Monica Pier

Saturday, July 4, late AM check out

Does this feel like a smart itinerary?
