Seen in the forest of Dean
We went to Pilning Wetlands near Gloucestershire yesterday in the hope to see a pair of frequently reported Temincks Stints. We left quite disappointed that we hadn’t seen them as others said they had earlier that morning.
Anyway. I spotted these two just as we were leaving and a crowd of birders also gathered to look.
Merlin is saying it is it’s no1 suggestion but I know they can be confused with sandpipers so would appreciate a trained eyes opinion please.
Apologies for the quality it was quite a long way away
🙏🏼
Seen on Friday over lac de lacanau in lacanau France, near Bordeaux
Could it be a black kite?
