Especially in the kind of discussions where there are no right or wrong answers or you merely are discussing what conventions to follow. I often feel like I'm the one who usually has to back down. This happens always when the other person is male. Female coworkers (even if they are superiors) are usually open to others views but male coworkers (even if they are at the same seniority level as you) are harder to convince.

It's very hard to explain these subtle biases to my husband. I guess I'm just seeking validation here or checking with other women in tech if this is really a gender bias or just "me" issue.
