Hey,

I’ve been looking for a good sounding TWS under 10k but honestly everything seems kinda compromised, so now I’m thinking of splitting the use case instead.

My use:

Gym – need strong ANC (not optional), decent fit, sound just should not be bad

Travel/home – want clean, balanced sound, especially vocals and instruments (I listen to rock/metal/instrumental/indie/shoegaze mostly)

Phone is Oppo Reno 14 Pro + a Windows laptop and a mac (few work calls).

I can do some EQ but don’t want to tweak too much also

Wires are a bit annoying but I can deal with it if the sound is much better.

So current plan is:

TWS: Realme Buds Air 6 Pro

Seems to have good ANC and from what I read tuning is more balanced compared to newer stuff like Air 7 Pro which is more bassy.

For actual listening:

IEM: Moondrop Chu II

DAC: CX31993 dongle

Main reason is I keep reading that even a cheap IEM + DAC sounds better than most TWS in this range, specially for mids and separation

Questions:

  1. Does this split setup actually make more sense than just buying one 8–10k TWS?

  2. Is Air 6 Pro still a good pick for ANC + decent sound or am I missing something better?

  3. Is Chu II enough for my music or should I just go higher like Hexa directly?

  4. Also is CX31993 DAC fine or something better in similar price?

Just trying to avoid very bass heavy or harsh sound and not regret later. I can extend my budget if needed and this will be my first

Thanks!
