Marrying a Chinese non muslim
Asalamu alaikum,
I am writing to seek some advice. I’m a 26M living in the West, and I have been searching for about a year now. Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out for me with Muslim sisters.
Recently, I became close with a colleague of mine who is Chinese, and we get along really well. Through our conversations, I started to like her, and I found out that she also likes me. She knows that I am Muslim and has always respected my boundaries.
The issue is that I know Muslim men are not allowed to marry outside of the Abrahamic religions. I was wondering whether it would be permissible if she has the intention to convert at some point. She mentioned that she is interested in Islam, but there is no guarantee that she will convert.
I would really appreciate advice from brothers who are knowledgeable about this topic.
