Does anyone remember this place that used to be near Queen and Broadview?
Hoping someone remembers this place. I think it was called the Riverside and it was located on Queen St., East east of Broadview on the north side of the street. It would’ve been in the early 2000s. The menu included a ton of different options for mussels and they had a lovely martini menu. Specifically they had a cocktail called the 63 McGee, which I remember the owner telling us was named after a regular who lived at 63 McGee Street. That drink had a chokehold on my friends and I and we spent so many evenings there. Wondering what became of the owners and if they ever opened somewhere else and also if anyone remembers that cocktail and what was in it so I could re-create it. I remember it was orangey pink in colour, quite fruity and might’ve had passionfruit liquor in it. At the time we felt very much like the girls of sex in the city drinking them.
