American cities & towns with the most beautiful architecture and European style city planning neighborhoods?

I'm getting my license soon and want to visit the best this country has to offer, starting with the east coast. Would love to know places and specific neighborhoods I should be looking out for.

My favorite cities overall are those you'd find in Italy and Spain, but of course I love all kinds of european styles and the places I will find will be more old British in nature.

I'm probably actually not going to be able to make it to this but I really want this to keep happening, if you know anyone in the NYC/Jersey/CT area that likes VK let them know about this!

Assuming this will be Jami and the boys without Reba?

Update on Reba for those who aren't aware: After CO ended she was Marilyn Manson's guitar player until just recently when she joined Danny Elfman's band at Sick New World (still on good terms with Manson, seen side stage for his set) and is now doing her solo project opening for The Black Queen.

Pedestrianizing sections of cities is a net positive for the community, and I always felt like Bayonne needed more outdoor seating for their restaurants.

Every town that invests in a pedestrian street/plaza highly benefits from it and is very normal across Europe and Asia.

I would love to be able to walk over there and grab a pizza from Pizza Masters and actually sit outside in the spring and summer and enjoy the weather, have some trees put on the block for shade, other businesses that would greatly benefit from it are the carvels, john's food store, Pompeii pizza, literally everything along that line.

It being two blocks away from the light rail also helps with making the town feel more walkable and pedestrianized.

Plus, we already tend to have festivals and parades along that area of Broadway and it would allow for more of these things to happen.

But, if you disagree, what would be a better spot for this along broadway?

I literally just found out, I feel like this would have been bigger news but only after reading a comment on one of his vlogs did I find this out. Justin might literally be the best vocalist I've ever seen or heard, it's terrible what life can throw at you.

While Manson has been doing the other big metal festivals since he's come back with sobriety and his performances have been consistently really good to great throughout this time I really think this show was his best performance in decades.

I mean, he truly sounds INSANE. Even the first night of the tour I was like "oh he's got a bit of rustiness in his screams he needs to work through" but I'm just amazed at what I'm hearing in these SNW videos. His screams genuinely are Holy Wood/MA/ACSS level good.

I even looked at videos of his last tour to now, he's MORE FIT than ever, his arms are literally more muscular while overall being just as lean if not a bit leaner.

and most importantly, the meaning behind this particular show:

Sick New World's entire aesthetic is built off the back of what Manson and those fans back in the 90s were doing, he is an irreplaceable and maybe the biggest figure in that whole "mall goth" vibe that SNW wraps themselves in.

With all of that in mind and with all of the backlash on social media around him being there, it feels like this performance is his definitive "comeback" show, and you can see it in him as well.

Like, look at how fucking happy he is through the show, and how furious he is performing. It's actually a complete step up from all of the other festival performances and even the headliners, he's going so hard and is playing with such glee and triumph that it's undeniable and infectious.

He's literally the happiest I've ever seen him when he's doing The Beautiful People and I've watched countless live videos and all sorts of stuff regarding him for over 15+ years.

He's also been sharing so many photos and videos and clips and all sorts of little things around this particular show more than any other festival show, it's truly special and just amazing to see, I wish I was there.

The fact that he performed in the daytime was perfect, it was raw and with no gimmicks, everyone could see every single bit of the performance, somuchso that I've seen people have commented that they literally could not mosh if they tried because so many people just wanted to see the spectacle of this performance.

Now, I'd love to see him booked for later in the evening next year, and I hope I can go to SNW and see it in person.

Went to Montclair recently and explored their downtown, it actually blew me away how they have literally everything you could want in such a small vicinity.

Lots of restaurants, both upscale and cheaper with all kinds of ethnicities, all kinds of cafes and bakeries, a cute bookstore, all of these weird stores of craftspeople just doing their thing, semi-pedestrianized areas, art galleries, not only a large music venue for big artists but a small hole in the wall venue for small artists and bands all while being really nice.

Obviously due to their train station you can get into NYC just like Bayonne but we're literally RIGHT NEXT TO NYC and yet it feels like we're a washed up middle of nowhere town with lots of potholes and lack of paving with some nice parks and unlike Montclair pretty good pizza.

It feels like because we're SO close to NYC that people just choose to sleep and get groceries here but actually live in the city vs actually living here as well.

Obviously some people will say "a lot of gentrification" as the answer to my question, but it feels like there's a lot of city government planning that went into making Montclair as cool as it is.

The fact that we have all of these high rises with transplants moving in yet Broadway is kind of not great tells me the city needs to step up.
