Should I sell my Lightfoot Traditional Animation Lightbox?

Hello!

I am someone with a BFA in animation (graduated last year) and I have a piece of equipment that I recently realized could potentially have a lot of value.

At the end of the semester, my college was giving away old equipment at a first come, first serve basis and I just happened to make it in time to grab something.

I’m not sure as to why I grabbed this, but I thought it would be a cool piece of memorabilia (although it was heavy as hell to lug around the cities and subways).

I grabbed a traditional “Lightfoot led easel design pro animation lightbox with rotating disc”. It was equipment they taught us traditional animation on in our first years of the semester so we can understand what it was like to animate back in old Disney eras.

I’ve been selling some stuff on eBay and got curious as to how much this would sell for as I haven’t been really using it and just had it laying around.

Apparently, this item doesn’t show up anywhere. Not on eBay, Mercari, Facebook Marketplace, not even the original company’s website. I was digging anywhere that could even give me the name of this item.

I’ve only gotten a nugget of something from some old animation guide from 2009.

https://animation-studio-stuff.blogspot.com/2009/05/purchasing-animation-desk-or-lightbox.html?m=1

Apparently this lightbox is from a company called “Lightfoot” and is no longer in production, making it super scarce.

Especially now with indie animation on the rise, many collectors, professional animators, or enthusiasts are wanting to get their hands on old equipment like this.

With how difficult it was to find this item online, I’m wondering if I should sell it? I don’t really have no use for it as I’m more on the digital animation train rather than pencil and paper (I was also able to snatch a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 from a different giveaway for free lol).

Would anyone on here possibly be interested in this item? Due to the scarcity of it, possibly only being available in animation colleges, good working condition with all the pieces, and cross referencing prices from the company’s website, I can see this item go up to $600 or even higher.

What are your thoughts/advice?

Sonic x Shadow Generations Day One Edition Physical Copy for the PS4

Heya guys.

I’ve been selling stuff recently on eBay and came across my physical copy of Sonic x Shadow Generations Day One Edition for the PS4.

I don’t plan on playing it again, so I was researching for similar listings online so I can gauge what to price this at.

Apparently, it’s super difficult to find anything similar to what I have as physical sales of this game has been very limited upon release, especially here in the US.

Something similar to what I have found was a listing on eBay for a US sealed copy going for $500-$700.

My copy is a UK import (as seen from the PEGI box in the corner as opposed to the US’ ESRB box).

My copy is opened, but contains Gerald Robotnik’s Journal, the original manual, the unused code for the Sonic Adventure Legacy Skin, and a promotion for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie.

Can I get some advice as to what’s a good amount I can list this at due to the scarcity of it? I’ve even consulted local game stores near me of what they thought was a good price and even they couldn’t give me a straight answer.

They just saw the similar listing I saw on eBay going for $500-$700 and brought up that the PS5 version usually goes for $10-$20.

They believe that this can go for higher as it can be a collectors item, especially in this era where physical games are dying out. Even more so as my copy contains all original materials, is specifically the Day One Edition, is in pristine condition, and is for the PS4 as opposed to the PS5, but still compatible with it.

I’d appreciate any help on this!
