Type A people please please help me, URM FGLI applying this cycle

I’m honestly at my breaking point and I don’t know what to change anymore.

I just got my third 505 in a row, and my test is the week of May 2nd. I feel like I’ve genuinely tried everything. I went back to UWorld and started doing timed blocks to build stamina, I’ve pulled back on Anki to focus more on application (especially for PS), and I’ve been consistently working through AAMC material. My gpa is a 3.6, while I do attend an ivy league, a URM and FGLI i feel 505 wont compensate.

I’ve:

Completed Section Bank 1 twice

Just finished Section Bank 2 this week

Been doing about 2 CARS passages a day (scoring anywhere from ~70–100%)

Taken multiple full lengths (I’ve already used most of them and only have Unscored + FL6 left)

What’s frustrating is that I don’t feel like this is a content issue. In my science sections, I often recognize the concepts, but sometimes the way questions are asked just feels like complete gibberish, like I can’t even process what they’re getting at.

UWorld helps, but it also feels different from AAMC, so I’m not sure how much it’s translating. On top of that, my CP score has actually dropped because I’ve been focusing so much on bringing up BB and PS.

At this point, I genuinely don’t know:

what to change

what to keep doing

or if I’m just stuck at this score

I’m really discouraged because I’ve been putting in the work, and nothing seems to be moving.

If anyone has been in a similar spot and broke out of it, I’d really appreciate any advice—especially on how to deal with that feeling of passages/questions just not making sense under timed conditions

I have no opportunity to push this exam back it wilm make almost a year since ive started studying and my fee assistance will be expired Im glad to apply

Post-workout meal feels “off” — is this combo suboptimal?

Hey all,

I’ve been eating pretty much the same post-workout meal for a while and wanted some input on whether it might be holding back my progress.

Right after lifting, I usually have:

1 slice sourdough, with goat cheese

~3/4 cup Greek yogurt,

~1/2 serving protein powder mixed in

honey + blueberries (sometimes some dried fruit)

sometimes chicken sausage on the side

occasionally a small amount of peanut butter

So overall it’s carbs + protein + some fat.

On paper it seems balanced, but I’ve noticed:

I don’t feel that energized after eating

I sometimes feel a bit bloated / “puffy”

my lifts have been pretty stagnant for a while

I train consistently and push myself, so I’m wondering if this meal structure could be part of the issue (digestion speed? fat content? total carbs/calories?).

Active 22F – Post-viral exercise intolerance, dizziness + left arm tightness during workouts (labs normal)

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some insight because I feel really stuck.

I’m a 22-year-old female and was very active prior to getting sick in February (possibly a bad cold or COVID). Before that, I was lifting 5–6x/week, doing StairMaster at levels 8–9 about 4x/week, and consistently hitting 10k+ steps daily. I have a decent amount of muscle mass and diet is good.

Since getting sick, my exercise tolerance has significantly declined. I’ve been slowly trying to return to the gym, but progress has been very slow and inconsistent:

•	My lifts are much weaker than before

•	My cardio capacity has dropped noticeably

•	I can usually only get through \~3–4 exercises before feeling unwell

The most concerning part is that near the end of workouts I experience:

•	Left arm tightness

•	Significant dizziness (especially when standing up)

•	Shortness of breath

I do try to fuel beforehand (banana with honey + salt, electrolytes), so I don’t think it’s purely low energy.

I’ve had basic labs done and everything came back “normal,” but these symptoms are still happening and are limiting me a lot.

Has anyone experienced something similar after a viral illness? Could this be something like post-viral fatigue, dysautonomia, or something cardiac-related?

I’d really appreciate any insight or suggestions on what to look into next.

Thank you
