Can someone break down the difference between post-punk and deathrock? In terms of music and lyric
(Sorry, didn't know which tag I should have used)
I was talking to my girlfriend about whether Funeral Parade is post-punk or deathrock. She thinks it’s more post-punk, but can’t really explain why. What’s the difference between the two in general, not just for Funeral Parade?
What musically and lyrically sets them apart? How can I hear a song and tell if it fits more into one or the other?
