My gal just finished shedding for the first time with me Wednesday, and is normal and back to moving. Shed came off in one piece. Noticed this while weighing and checking her post-shed today. Is this normal? What is it? The scales almost look uneven. Humidity has been between 65-85%.
I’m setting up a 20 gallon tank and I’m torn between three stocking options. What options are best and why? No matter what, the tank will have a colony of Neo shrimp, a rabbit snail, and a schooling fish.
Option 1: centerpiece fish, bottom feeders, and school
This option I’d pick a centerpiece fish, do a school of small fish (probably rummynose tetras), and do a school of either peppered or Pygmy corydoras (or otos after the tank is established) I’m not sure what centerpiece I want, I’m torn between a gourami of some sort (leaning towards pearl or sparkling but idk) or a plakat betta.
Option 2: centerpiece fish, two schools, no bottom feeders
With this, I’d do a centerpiece fish (options above) and two schools, probably rummynoses and I like celestial pearl danios. My shrimp and snail could handle the bottom.
Option 3: two schools + bottom feeders, no centerpiece
This I’d do rummynose tetras, celestial pearl danios, and probably Pygmy coydoras.
Thoughts on any of these? Or other options I haven’t thought of?
