peak neighborhood of 3 people in one house. absolutely zero traffic with the 10 lane 'local' road

POV: You try a decentralized planning style and just make Eastern Europe

it basically has everything, all services, commerce and residential, along with parks and management. industrial zones are far away along with the nuclear power facility.

I'm trying out decentralized planning in sandbox mode but it seems the only problem I have is not having a copy and paste button to just copy paste this micro district over and over

After being a cruiser main since the very start I now have a new favorite class. ekranoplans and hovercrafts

specifically RF Bora and the Russian market ekranoplan. it's so refreshing and exciting because before I only used slow heavily armed ships that need good cover and may not be appropriate for some matches but when I started using Bora and the ekranoplans damn my dream came true of traveling at high speed and darting across cover with much less risk and chance for the enemy to hit back, I think any heavy ship user could relate to this the only thing I don't like about this is the lower cam height because smaller ships and lower HP but Bora can dish out good damage especially from it's auto aim cannon which is also anti air.

my Build with RF Bora:

2×1 missiles - Pralay (for heavy penetration cuz of HP and speed)

2×1 missiles - S-500 (for good anti air capabilities and to restrict my low range AA for anti missile instead of getting distracted on planes)

everything else is locked so it's very good. also the best tactic I use of this is blitzkrieging from cover to cover and being as big of a distraction so the enemy could focus on me instead of my team which I hope is cooperative. sometimes I just do everything myself. I hate hellcat

if you look closely you can see the missed white background in the osprey rotor.. but even closer you can see that each pixel is slightly smaller then the background so I can make higher pixel count stuff while having it smaller. but I'm not going to make super HD things because it doesn't fit theotown, I will only do this when it's needed or if normal downscaled textures start losing too much details that it becomes unrecognizable

fire station for reference, my post a little while ago had the scale wrong, I realized it's probably 8×8 meters per tile so I scaled the fighter down more. currently both of them are 2×2 so it's definitely smaller but less detailed then the gigantic scales

u/Fine_Engine_9024 — 10 days ago

added four directions to both of them, the F-35 is 3×3 Tiles and F-15E is 4×4 Tiles assuming each tile is 5×5 meters. the C-17s are not up to scale because of 8×8 building limitations. honestly I'm very happy, gives my airbase much more realism. the only thing bugging me is that I added a 1 pixel outline to both which is stating to irritate my brain but nothing much.

currently the shadow on the tail is cut off but it should be an easy fix, overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out considering it's my second time making plugins. Also the image is from an isometric pic in chrome I don't take credit for making it since I pretty much snatched it from the internet. :)

it doesn't have hangars because it acts more like a temporary parking space that you can park but not stay. also I've noticed when searching airbase here in theotown people just cram everything so tightly trying to fill every space possible and have short runways, so I decided to do a much more realistic one

I'm having a hard time with making plugins but I do have the picture. I hand cropped it from the black background in simpleplanes.

if you are wondering why it's a bit too detailed it's because I heard a tile is 5×5 meters and did scale the plane according to 5×5 meters, the plane is a Tu-160M. plus since I have the game simpleplanes, I can orient it diagonally, backwards or any direction much easier compared to hand crafted masterpieces.

starting out making a plane plugin since everything else I found plane related didn't satisfy me enough. how about this? texturing isn't finished yet and the colors are for identifying parts and faces.

**New Manual GL Mechanic Idea**

Manual grenade launchers (GLs) could have an additional firing mode to improve flexibility. The default mode would stay the same direct fire that targets and destroys torpedoes while also damaging submarines.

The new mode would allow the GL to fire into a designated area, but instead of being intercepted by torpedoes, the projectiles would pass through them and detonate at a random depth near the submarine’s position. This would deal lighter damage per hit, but it would stack over a full salvo.

This change would give players a way to damage submarines directly even when high-HP torpedoes are blocking shots, preventing situations where a nearly destroyed sub survives simply because the GL keeps hitting torpedoes instead.

---

**ASM Rework and Cruise Missile Concept**

Missiles could be divided into clearer categories:

* ASM (Anti-Ship Missile)

* SLBM (Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile)

* Cruise Missiles (new category)

Cruise missiles would function differently from standard lock-on weapons. Instead of requiring a direct lock, they could be guided using 2–3 player-placed waypoints. These waypoints would have a limited range from the launching vessel to prevent abuse (like firing across the entire map from spawn).

Once the missile reaches its final waypoint, it activates its seeker and begins searching for targets, but with less precision to keep it balanced. The missile would also turn in wide arcs rather than sharp angles, making it weaker in close-range combat but more effective in long-range or stalemate situations.

Additional balancing factors:

* Waypoints are locked to a low altitude (around 10 meters), preventing terrain abuse like flying over mountains

* Moderate direct and splash damage

* High durability but slow speed

* Fires in salvos of 3–5 missiles instead of a single projectile

* Reload time of around 10–12 seconds at maximum upgrade

This system allows for more unpredictable attack angles, making it harder for air defenses to react since the missiles don’t come from a direct line of sight.

Submarines capable of using these (like certain classes) could switch to cruise missiles instead of SLBMs. However, they shouldn’t be able to equip both at the same time to maintain balance.
