Me and my friends were taking a walk today afternoon cuz the weather was so pleasant after it rained and we decided to go to that store near sharada block and check it out to buy some soda or juice on the way. We've never been there before so thought we'd explore.
They had a fridge kept outside with all the drinks they had and me and my friends checked it out and didn't see anything that exciting then one of my friends pointed out to a can of popping Boba drink which was in a corner on the top shelf. We were curious as we've never tried it before and decided to open the fridge to check the price of it before buying it like we always do in any store in manipal with a fridge that's kept outside. As soon as we opened the fridge not even 1s later the lady who was sitting inside the shop started shouting in a rude tone and said "hellooo ey fridge kyu khol rahe ho?" We replied calmly and told her we just wanted to check the price of the Boba can and she again shouted at us to close the fridge and told us to only open the fridge if we're actually buying something in a very condescending tone.
None of us liked the way she spoke to us as if we're thieves or something but didn't want to spoil our mood with this bs on such a pleasant day so we just walked away and found another store and bought our drinks there. There is no shortage of shops and food places in manipal after all. Why would she even place the refrigerator outside if she didn't want people opening it? Like it's okay if she didn't want us opening it for whatever reason we won't do it but there was absolutely no need for her to speak to us in such an aggressive and condescending tone. She could at least put up a note or something saying don't open the refrigerator. Never faced this issue in any stores in manipal.
