SPC (hybrid) or Laminate?
I have two quotes. One is from a company that swears laminate is the bees knees. It has a more robust click system compared to hybrid, won't scratch and is now waterproof.
The second quote is from a company that swears hybrid is the bees knees it doesn't fade, is waterproof and is way more modern than laminate.
I am flooring over old tiles and the company pushing laminate says the tiles will need to be fully levelled if I go hybrid but not with laminate. They say the click lock system on hybrid will break if the join falls on the grout line. They say hybrid needs a plastic sheet underneath to prevent moisture.
The company pushing hybrid says it's level enough and not a worry. They say the 10mm hybrid is fine and won't break. They say it has underlay built in and doesn't need a sheet.
Any suggestions who to believe?
