Just need your opinion.

For context, I’ve been working as an IT Help Desk for around 9 months in my current company. There’s an internal opening for an infra team role.

This would be a rare opportunity bc, from what I know, this is only the second time our company will hire someone from the PH since most of the infra roles is based in the US.

I know I may not meet every qualification yet, especially with the preferred years of experience, but I do have some relevant skills, internal IT experience, and I’m eager to learn and grow.

If you were in my position, would you apply even if you’ve been with the company for less than a year and still have some skill gaps? Or would you wait and build more experience first?
