Puma Deviate Nitro 4 good for race day?

Marathon is in 4 weeks and I may need to change race day shoes. Targeting 9:05 pace. I have one last 14 mile long run with pacing targets left.

I’m interested in the Deviate Nitro 4 because it comes in a 2E width. I’ve also heard it’s decently fast. I don’t want to use a proper carbon racing shoe because my mechanics break down in the later parts of the race.

Here are some shoes I’ve ran in before, hopefully you can give me a comparison.

Superblast 3. Love feel of shoe and been using it this entire training block. Was intended to race in them but I got get really bad callus on the tip of my second toe. The skin just hardened. Happens every long run. I’m wondering if this is acceptable.

Superblast 2. Used em my first marathon and many many easy runs but they feel so stiff. My feet were always protected just could never pick up the pace.

Boston 13. Logged 200 miles on them. Stiff shoe but the sides of the shoes felt like they pushing my toes together.

Adios pro 4. Raced a half marathon in them I decided not to do a full because they’re a bit too unstable for my mechanics at the moment.
