Belly button piercing possibly closed after appendectomy?
As the title says, I had my appendix removed a couple months ago laparoscopically. I’ve had my belly button pierced for over a decade but I obviously had to take it out for the surgery. One of the incisions is just above my belly button piercing hole and the surgical glue they used went over the piercing but I don’t think that’s what caused the issue.
After about a month to ensure the incision had healed I attempted to put my ring back in but I couldn’t without pain. I thought maybe it was still healing and there was residual swelling but it’s still not going through a month later. I can get it about half way through now with Vaseline but it definitely hurts. When they do that kind of surgery they have to fill you up with air to give them more working space and I’m worried that it stretched out my piercing and that’s why I can’t get it all the way through.
I really really don’t want to get it repierced so any advice is appreciated. Photos of the piercing hole attached.

ETA: I can’t get it in through the bottom, so I’ve just been trying to get it through the top.
