I’ve been looking into Logan Square lately and it feels like one of those neighborhoods that checks a lot of boxes at first, good food, solid nightlife and easy access to the Blue Line but I keep getting the sense that your actual experience really depends on the specific building and landlord you end up with. I like that it has a strong neighborhood vibe and seems more livable than some trendier areas but I’ve also heard mixed things about noise, maintenance and how well some buildings are managed. I’ve toured a couple places that looked great on the surface but I’m a bit hesitant to commit without digging deeper, so I’ve been trying to look into complaint history and overall building track record, even ran a place through streetsmart just to get a better sense of what’s not obvious from the listing.
For people who’ve lived there, did it live up to expectations or did issues start popping up after moving in?
