Senior Cat with Respiratory Issues .. Looking for Wet Food Recommendations for Possible Allergies
Hi everyone — looking for some advice for my sweet senior girl, Willow. She’s an 11-year-old long-haired Maine Coon mix with some chronic respiratory issues. Right now she’s on senior dry food and gets wet food once a day, usually chicken-based.
I recently started reading that chicken can sometimes be a trigger for cat allergies/sensitivities, so now I’m wondering if I should switch things up a bit.
Does anyone have recommendations for good wet food for senior cats with allergies or sensitivities? Preferably something high quality that your cats have genuinely done well on. She tends to prefer softer foods with gravy or moisture versus pâté.
Would especially love to hear from anyone with older cats who have respiratory or allergy-related issues. Thank you from me and Willow 🤍
