For the love of God I hope someone can help me. I feel like I’m so close but doing something stupid. I looked for birth certificate in Baltimore city in 1895. I found the index and all the info it came with but can’t find the actual certificate. Can someone please help me. I can give all the numbers and names I have if someone is kind enough to help a struggling obsessed person :)

I am trying to find out my husband’s great great grandfather original Japanese name before coming to America. It’s making me mad bc I been looking on and off for many years. Friday I am going to national archives in Annapolis and I am so afraid I won’t find my answers. This quest is starting to get expensive with all the subscriptions I have. Is there an informative site that is free or even if it’s paid …is anything better than all the ancestry.com stuff. ??
