I’m a first time client with a tax specialist/lawyer and I already filed my 2024/2025 tax return. This guy contacted me a week later saying he couldn’t lower my 2024 return that I owed on but on my 2025 return said he got it where instead of owing $2,000, I now have a refund of $150. $2,150 in savings if it holds up, but they said I owe them $1,100 for them to file the amendment, is this price somewhat normal and what should I ask for guarantees when I go into my appointment today?
