my cousin is coming to visit for two weeks. my mom wants me to share my room with her so she doesn't have to sleep on the couch.

i said no. my room is small. i have school and work and i need my space and privacy.

my mom says i'm being selfish and inhospitable.

i said the cousin can sleep in the living room or my parents can give up their room.

now everyone is mad at me.

TL;DR: Mom wants me to share my room with visiting cousin. I said no.

my mom has a key to my apartment for emergencies. she started using it to just walk in whenever.

no text. no call. just shows up.

one time i was in my pajamas eating cereal. another time i had a friend over. last week she walked in while i was in the shower.

i took my key back. she got upset and said "i'm your mother."

now she's telling family i'm cold and distant. am i the jerk?
